🐕 Walk Doctor Workshop🚶🏻‍♀️

No unresolved, severe behavioral issues. See prerequisites below.*

Is your dog dragging you down the street? Lunging at other dogs? Turning walks into workouts you didn’t sign up for?

The Walk Doctor Workshop is a focused, hands-on training session designed to address leash pulling, lunging, and reactive behaviors in a supervised, real-world setting.

Held immediately after Pack Walk, this workshop allows us to work through common leash challenges while your dog is already engaged and in a learning mindset. With multiple trainers on staff, you’ll receive individualized coaching and practical corrections you can apply right away.

What do these workshops include?

  • Proper leash handling and positioning

  • Eliminating pulling and forging ahead

  • Neutrality around dogs and distractions

  • Turning reactive moments into leadership opportunities

  • Building calm, structured walking habits

This is not a lecture-style class. It is active, practical, and results-driven. Spots are limited to ensure personalized attention. If you’re ready to stop barely surviving your walks and start enjoying them, this workshop is for you.

Schedule

Every 1st Saturday of the month. We start walking promptly at 10:00am right after Pack Walk. Park in the East Parking Lot at the Nebo Summit Center (165 S 700 E, Springville), unless canceled due to severe weather or a major holiday.

$50/Workshop

Rate: $50 per dog/handler team. (Price may adjust in the future based on operational costs and demand.)

Safety Guidelines

  • 🚶 Please plan ahead. No more than 1 dog per person over 18 years of age is permitted. Friends and children are welcome, however, if they are handling a dog, they must have permission from the trainer.

  • 🐕‍🦺 During the walk, your dog must be wearing a secure, fitted, buckle collar and a regular 6’ leash or slip lead and any other training equipment recommended by your trainer.

  • 🚘 Please wait by your car while everyone gathers until you receive further instructions from the trainer.

  • 🥶/🥵 Dress appropriately for the predicted weather! If it's too cold/hot for you or your dog, just stay home and come next time.

  • 🙋🏻‍♀️ If you have any questions, please ask one of our Walk Guides for assistance.

  • ✅ Before you leave your vehicle, please check your dog's collar and leash to ensure everything is secure and maintain a firm grip on your dog's leash at all times.

  • 👀 Take a moment to look around. If others are arriving at the same time, please be respectful and maintain a good distance, (at least 10’ apart from each other). This is crucial as some attendees are fearful and even aggressive in manner and we want to prevent any mishaps.

  • 📱 These walks are interactive and require your undivided attention. Please stay focused on your dog and those around you and put your phone on silent.

  • 👶 No UNRESOLVED/SEVERE behavioral issues! Children and dogs of various sizes, ages, and training levels will be present. If you or your dog are not ready for such an environment, we encourage you to schedule a free consultation before attending. https://calendly.com/bakersacres

  • 💩 When the walk is over, please clean up after yourself and your dog and help cleanup anything that doesn't belong.

Let us know if you have any questions about the prerequisites or guidelines above and remember to RSVP at least 3 days in advance if you are planning to attend the next pack walk!

*Prerequisites for Attendance

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, we kindly request that all attendees adhere to the following pre-requisites before attending:

  • Vaccination Schedule or Titer Test: All dogs must be up-to-date with their vaccinations or provide proof of a recent titer test. This precaution ensures the health and safety of all dogs attending our classes.

  • No Unresolved/Severe Behavioral Issues: At BAKERS ACRES K9 ACADEMY, we prioritize the well-being of all participants – both human and canine. Therefore, we kindly ask that dogs with any unresolved and/or severe behavioral issues, such as social anxiety or aggression resulting in bites that leave a mark, first address these concerns through behavior modification training. This allows us to provide personalized attention and tailored solutions to better address their specific needs. To clarify any doubts or concerns regarding your dog’s behavior, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with our team before attending class.

We genuinely care about every dog's experience at BAKERS ACRES K9 ACADEMY. By adhering to these prerequisites, you contribute to maintaining a safe and enriching learning environment for everyone involved. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to supporting you and your furry friend on your journey to a well-trained, happy, and healthy dog.

6 months ago I would not have been able to walk through the farmer’s market with my dog without him reacting to every dog he saw! The monthly pack walks have really helped him get exposure to dogs in a very controlled setting.
