🦮 DOG TRAINING Classes & Workshops 🦮

Best suited for veteran dog owners and dogs with specific issues outside the home.

What do these classes include?

Provided FREE of charge to our community to meet the Bakers Acres Team, ask questions about your dog's behavior, receive free professional training advice, and even book a free consultation with our head trainer. This is a safe, judgment-free environment to get your dog(s) in a public setting with distractions like other dogs and their owners, kids, and traffic! Everyone in attendance is struggling with their dog just like you. So, please ask questions, share any ideas that have helped improve your dog's behavior, and offer support to help troubleshoot other's issues. Attendance is limited to 30 dogs at a time, so please RSVP asap.

Prerequisites for Attendance

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, we kindly request that dog owners adhere to the following pre-requisites before attending:

  1. Vaccination Schedule or Titer Test: All dogs must be up-to-date with their vaccinations or provide proof of a recent titer test. This precaution ensures the health and safety of all dogs attending our classes. Furthermore, we kindly request that you obtain a clean bill of health for your dog from your veterinarian within 7-10 days prior to attending any of our programs.

  2. No Unresolved/Severe Behavioral Issues: At BAKERS ACRES K9 ACADEMY, we prioritize the well-being of all participants – both human and canine. Therefore, we kindly ask that dogs with any unresolved and/or severe behavioral issues, such as social anxiety or aggression resulting in bites that leave a mark, first address these concerns through behavior modification training. This allows us to provide personalized attention and tailored solutions to better address their specific needs. To clarify any doubts or concerns regarding this matter, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with our team before enrolling your dog in our programs.

We genuinely care about every dog's experience at BAKERS ACRES K9 ACADEMY. By adhering to these prerequisites, you contribute to maintaining a safe and enriching learning environment for everyone involved. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to supporting you and your furry friend on your journey to a well-trained, happy, and healthy dog.

Safety Guidelines

  • Please plan ahead. No more than 1 dog per person over 18 years of age is permitted. Friends and children are welcome, however, if they are handling a dog, they must have permission from the trainer.

  • During class, your dog must be wearing a secure, fitted, buckle collar and a regular 6’ leash or slip lead and any other training equipment recommended by your trainer.

  • These walks are interactive and require your undivided attention. Please stay focused on your dog and those around you and put your phone on silent.

  • Children and dogs of various sizes, ages, and training levels will be present. If your dog has issues with either, please understand that you are completely responsible for your dog. If you or your dog are not ready for such an environment, we recommend starting with private lessons before attending pack walks or group classes.

  • Before you leave your vehicle, please check your dog's collar and leash to ensure everything is secure and maintain a firm grip on your dog's leash at all times.

  • Take a moment to look around. If others are arriving at the same time, please be respectful and maintain a good distance, (at least 10’ apart from each other). This is crucial as some attendees are fearful and even aggressive in manner and we want to prevent any mishaps.

  • When class is over, please clean up after yourself and your dog and help cleanup anything that doesn't belong.

Let us know if you have any questions about the prerequisites or guidelines above and remember to RSVP at least 3 days in advance if you are planning to attend the next class!

Join our Group Class every 2nd Friday at 6pm at the Nebo Summit Center in Springville to practice loose leash manner, testing for the CGC, socializing in a safe environment, and getting your questions answered.

Sara is always my first pick for dog training. I trust her with any dog. She is also great at providing structured socialization with other dogs and people. Highly recommended.
