How does this work?
Training begins with a Comprehensive In-Home Consultation in order to get to know you, your lifestyle, your current family situation, and any plans you have for the near future so that we have all of the details necessary to give you the best training recommendations that will most benefit you and your family.
Over the course of the training program, we will meet for one-on-one lessons, within the privacy, comfort, and convenience of your home (either in-person or virtually)…and coincidentally, where most of the naughty behaviors manifest. You and your dog will learn all the obedience commands, good manners, and essential social skills you’ll need in your home as well as in public around distractions including other dogs, kids, and the real world to successfully navigate life together!
Our end goal is to help you become your dog’s trainer!

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN BOTH PROGRAMS?
Starting with 5 scheduled private lessons or until we achieve the goals we agreed upon during the Comprehensive Consultation.
1st Lesson begins with a family interview, behavior assessment, and a house-proofing tour of your home. Then we work together to build a comprehensive game plan to achieve your goals, and close with 2-3 simple techniques and homework to incorporate into your dog’s life.
2nd-4th Lesson begins with a homework report and game plan review, what worked and what didn’t, then we work through the issues, and close with 2-3 additional techniques to include in your game plan.
Graduation Assessment begins with an overall training review, what worked and what didn’t, then we work through any lingering issues, and close with final advise and ask for a testimonial.

All basic obedience commands like: sit, down, stay/wait, place/bed, come, heel, leave-it, and drop-it/out
Potty training for puppies and older dogs who have never been trained or might have regressed
Be calm, quiet, and well-behaved inside the home and content when confined to the crate
Self-soothing techniques for dogs who struggle with separation anxiety
Eradicate common nuisances like: barking out the window at the delivery driver, biting/nipping the kids, jumping on your or your guests, marking indoor furniture, invading personal space, getting into the garbage, stealing food from the counter, and harassing the cat

WHAT’S EXCLUSIVE TO THE TFL+ PROGRAM?
Proper socialization is key to a happy, well-mannered dog. Our Doggy Daycare provides controlled group play sessions where your dog can interact with other well-behaved dogs, helping them learn proper social skills and develop a confident and friendly demeanor. TFL+ includes 3 days of daycare and is available once your dog has successfully completed their 2nd Lesson.

*The final total will be calculated according to the travel time/distance to your location. Typically, most clients are able to achieve their desired results within 4-5 lessons. However, we want to ensure that we do not conclude your training until we have successfully achieved your goals and you are fully satisfied with your dog’s progress. Each dog is unique, and their training needs may vary. Some will progress quickly through the program and require minimal training effort. However, dogs with serious behavioral challenges, such as aggression or anxiety, may require more extensive training over a longer period of time to overcome these issues. These complex situations often demand the expertise of our experienced trainers who invest extra time and effort into addressing these specific problems. Consequently, the increased resources and knowledge required for such potentially risky cases may result in a higher investment and a greater number of lessons.
